Our Chess Tournaments for the 2018-19 Scholastic Year
have been scheduled!
We are excited announce the following dates so mark your calendars.
Oct 20 ** (Free tournament for first time tournament players, must never have entered a tournament before)

What to Know
- All tournaments will be held at Fossil Ridge HS.
- Check-In Time is 8:15 am – everyone needs to show up by 8:30 or you get a 0 pt bye for first round.
- USCF ID -All Chessmates tournaments require you to have a valid USCF ID. To learn more about the ID see this post. We help you with this via our sign up form. (First time tournament players for Oct Tournament do not need one).
- Tournaments will have 5 rounds, everyone plays all rounds, we will have trophies for 1st – 3rd in each sections.
- We supply all chess boards.
- All rules will be reviewed during players meeting at the start of the tournament.
Changes This Year
- Rated section game in 30 minutes per side.
- Players must check in by 8:30, late arrivals will result in a first round 0 pt bye.
- Pizza is now $2 a slice for lunch with various concessions available for various prices.
