We’re looking to have our best Chess camp yet and are excited to announce the Chessmates 9th Annual Summer Camp will be held June 25 – 29, 2018.

Coming back to coach will be National master Zachary Bekkedahl, National master Gunnar Andersen, Candidate master Brad Lundstrom, Chessmates Instructor Bob Grant. Our guest instructor is still be worked on so check back in.
Our idea is to have fun while learning. Each child registered will be individually placed with the instructor who best matches their ability level.
Throughout the day lessons will be taught by the student’s main camp instructor as well as guest lessons from guest instructor, Zach and Gunnar.
During the week, we’ll host a chess tournament for the students to put into practice the skills, tactics
We work to create an environment where the kids enjoy learning and playing chess. We’ll host lots of games and have prizes and trophies throughout camp.
On the last day of camp there will be a special simul where all students get to play a game at the same time against our guest instructor.

Chessmates began in Fort Collins Colorado in 2008 and now teaches over 1000 students annually. As a Colorado Chess Club, Chessmates provides camps, tournaments, private lessons, chess clubs and online chess instruction in Fort Collins Colorado.
