Academy club is held on Wednesdays – 4pm-5pm at

How does The Academy differ from School clubs? 

The academy goes year round. School clubs are 12 weeks.

School clubs follow the Chessmates program that starts with learning moves and progresses to working through our basic 12 lessons that help players get basic chess strategy. 

The Academy Club is composed of players who have graduated from school clubs. The Academy uses the foundations learned in a school club and helps players who want to improve and promote their game. It involves more strategy and a higher caliber of play.

From the Academy Club, a player can then graduate and join our Advanced club, which is made up of players who rank 800 or higher.

The first half of class you can interact as we go through famous games, and all kinds of strategic chess lessons.

The second half of class we will be filled with activities like a five minute tournaments between the class participants and special guests, 4 player chess, Chessmates team matches and more!

We do not prorate for starting in the middle of a month.
