Chessmates camp at Foothills Recreation center was held January 2 to 4 and had 12 kids all at the beginner to intermediate level.
Coach Zach and Coach Akash worked with them on all kinds of chess strategies including different checkmate patterns, basic endgame strategy and how to take your time and think ahead in chess.
Through the camp we also had lots of activities and fun games. Congratulations to our end of camp tournament winner Jaxon! These students have a lot of promise and we can’t to see how quickly they improve in the next couple years!!!
