The Rocky Mountain Chess Championship is our annual team tournament in Colorado. We take the top 6 teams from Elementary schools, Middle schools and High schools.
Teams qualify though the Colorado state individual tournament, Chessmates Kings gambit tournament, Michael Mulyar chess tournament series, Jesse Cohen chess tournament series and through us, finding the most qualified team in Boulder and Colorado Springs.
While some teams can’t make it, we always have very strong teams and its lots of fun.
Each team plays their top 4 players against another teams top 4 players and whichever team scores more points gets a win for that round. It is a round robin tournament.
